South of Scotland Community Housing (SOSCH) are supporting Gatehouse Development Initiative (GDI) and site-owner in the investigation of community-led housing development on the site of the former Woodside Garage in Gatehouse of Fleet.
 
We are currently working to develop and appraise options that follow on from the Housing Needs and Demand Assessment undertaken on behalf of GDI in 2021.
 
At this stage the project team would like to develop an understanding of likely levels of interest should locally affordable housing for rent be developed on the site. 
 
We anticipate that the development would incorporate a mix of ONE and TWO BEDROOM ENERGY-EFFICIENT HOMES.  Community-led homes will be let according to a localised Allocations Policy which will prioritise local connection, suitability to property size and need.
