We are reviewing our garage licence and are proposing to make an addition.

As a City of York garage licence holder we would welcome your views on the draft additions to the licence.

We propose to add the following to the licence:
  • The rent may be altered by the Council after the licensee is given 4 weeks written notice, usually once a year.  The notice will say what change we are going to make and the date on which the change will happen
  • Any rent alteration is usually calculated by using Consumer Price Index plus 1%
  • We have the right to charge you for any new service we provide for your garage. The cost will be charged as part of your rent. We will tell you, in writing at least four weeks before we do this.
