Introduction

Welcome to Galop's survey. Thank you for your interest in taking part.

About this research

This is a survey to understand how LGBT+ victims of hate crime seek help and their experiences of reporting. The answers we collect from this survey will be used, alongside the results of some interviews, to better understand and improve the support LGBT+ people who have been the victim of a hate crime need.

How will my results be used?

Galop is an anti-violence charity that supports Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Trans people. Conducting this survey will help Galop improve its services and make recommendations to partner organisations that also provides support services to victims of LGBT+ hate crime.

How will my data be protected?

The survey is anonymous and you are not required to share any personally identifiable information if you do not want to. All personal responses to the survey will be kept confidential and stored in compliance with data protection regulations. When discussing the results of the survey, only aggregated and anonymised data will be made public, this means that we won’t discuss individual answers or answers linked to specific people but will instead group people’s answers and discuss these groups.
