North Yorkshire Music Therapy Centre |
Research survey
The North Yorkshire Music Therapy Centre is a registered Charity that has provided music therapy and group music sessions in North Yorkshire for the last 30 years, both in our own premises and across the region.
Music therapy uses music to support clients’ physical, emotional, psychological and general well-being.
Music therapists use music in informal music making, singing or listening as a tool to promote self-expression and self-confidence. As music is not always accompanied by words, it is very inclusive and accessible. Musical self-expression can often result as an easier way to express emotions and feelings that can be difficult to express through words.
For these reasons, music therapy can be beneficial for everyone, whether or not they have additional needs, from babies in the womb to individuals at the end of life.
This questionnaire will help us to improve our service by identifying the needs of people in our community during and following the Covid-19 pandemic.
