Thank you very much for your engagement in our consultation about the potential for a quality assurance system for teacher CPD so far. The responses that we have received so far have been very helpful. For a reminder of the purpose of this consultation, please see here:
We are currently considering what we have learned from the evidence about Quality Assurance through a rapid evidence review, an online consultation and face-to-face and online workshops. The evidence has highlighted a number of key themes which will inform the potential development of a quality assurance system. These themes are as follows:
Context: The wider education system that a quality assurance system sits within Purpose: What the primary purpose of a quality assurance system is Governance: Who manages and administers the quality assurance system Processes: What processes underpin a quality assurance system Defining quality: How a quality assurance system defines quality of CPD Value: Who pays for a quality assurance system and how is it valued by users
The questions below focus around some of these key themes. In relation to these areas we want to further develop our understanding of what type of quality assurance system could be most helpful in the existing education system. Feel free to leave questions blank if you feel you don’t wish to answer them, and there is space at the end for you to add further comments.
Please complete the survey here by 17th December. If you have any questions please get in touch with Sarah Harrison at:
