The GWAS Catalog includes both curated associations (significant independent associations only) and summary statistics (p-values of all variants in the discovery GWAS). The curated associations are available via our web-based search interface, whereas summary statistics files are available to download via our ftp.

In this questionnaire, we are focusing on the curated part of the Catalog.

Question Title

Figure 1: GWAS study design showing discovery and replication stages

Figure 1: GWAS study design showing discovery and replication stages
The curated GWAS Catalog includes associations that meet statistical significance (p-value <1.0 x 10-5) in either:

1. the discovery GWAS stage if no replication was performed
OR
2. the combined (discovery GWAS + replication) analysis

In each of these cases the most significant SNP from each independent locus is extracted.

Question Title

* 1. Are you happy with the curated content of the Catalog?

Thinking about studies that include a replication stage

Question Title

* 2. What associations would you like to see in the Catalog? Rank from 1 (highest preference) to 3 (lowest preference).

Thinking about how you would like to see replication information presented, please consider the following options (described further in question 6, below):

Question Title

* 3. Please rate how useful you would find each of the following options (illustrated in Table 1 above).

Not useful at all Slightly useful Useful Extremely useful
A. Discovery p-value plus a flag to indicate associations that have been successfully replicated
B. Option A (discovery plus replication flag) with details of replication sample (metadata)
C. Combined (discovery+replication) p-value only
D. Discovery p-value plus combined p-value
E. Discovery p-value plus replication p-value
F. Discovery p-value plus both replication p-value and combined p-values

Question Title

* 4. In your opinion, which is more important for the GWAS Catalog to include?

Question Title

* 5. Please provide any additional comments on which associations you would like to see in the GWAS Catalog
