The Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead Ageing Well Strategy will outline how organisations across Borough will work together to help you live healthy, active and happy lives for as long as possible; and, if you need more help, how we will ensure we work together to support your needs.

Deadline for responses – 14th December 2018

Can you help?

Once we know what is important to you as you grow older, we can plan to make sure your priorities are met. We would like your help to develop and Ageing Well Strategy that will run from 2019 to 2023.

Developing the new strategy

We want to work with you throughout the development of the new strategy. Part of this first stage, is to get your input and to evaluate what we already know and what people have already told us; to understand what is important to people as they prepare for old age.

How can you help shape the strategy?

We are asking anyone who might be interested, including professionals and older people, to complete this questionnaire so we have your thoughts and ideas at this early stage.

Please use the free text boxes below to tell us what you think should be in the new strategy:

Over the last few months we have already spoken to many people across the Royal Borough. The main issues identified that might impact on our abilities to age well include:

  • Transport and access to services
  • Improved access to information and advice
  • Improved ways of working between community and health services to support healthy ageing
  • Access to a range of social activities
  • Access to affordable housing that supports people to live independently as they age
  • Loneliness and isolation
