The Vale of Glamorgan - Accommodation Bedstock Survey 2019/2020

The Vale of Glamorgan Council is working in collaboration with Visit Wales to conduct an All-Wales Bedstock survey during 2019/20.

We are conducting this survey in order to develop an accurate database on the nature and the amount of tourism accommodation stock in the Vale of Glamorgan and Wales. This basic information is essential to help us plan to better meet the needs of our current visitors, provide the right sort of accommodation, to enhance our share of the changing tourism market and to justify tourism as a significant contributor to the local economy.

We would be very grateful if you could take a moment to complete this questionnaire. The last county bedstock survey was conducted some years ago and a lot has changed since then.

If you have more than one type of accommodation, we ask that you concentrate on one type first as similar questions will appear later in the questionnaire. The survey is set out as follows:

     Serviced Accommodation
     Self Catering Accommodation
     Caravan and Camping/Alternative
     Hostel/Bunkhouse/University
Your Information

All information will be used for research purposes only and business and personal details will remain strictly confidential within the partnership organisations. Any request for data will only be supplied in an aggregated format and will not disclose your personal data. The information you supply will be kept for 6 years however after this time, the figures will be in aggregated form only and kept forever.

Should you wish for your business details to be made public for the purposes of marketing e.g. through the Visit the Vale website, a tick box will mark your permission to allow this.

The survey can be conducted in either digital or hard copy. If you prefer to complete the survey on paper, please let us know and we will send a form to you in the post.

The questionnaire should only take a few minutes to complete. Please return the completed form by 30/11/2019.
