Understanding love across different types of romantic relationships.

INVITATION

You are being asked to take part in a research study exploring love in different types of romantic relationships . I am a third year BSc psychology student at Regent's University London and this project is supervised by Dr Marina Rachitskiy and Dr Carla Gibbes. To participate, you must be over 18 years old and currently in a relationship for at least one year.

WHAT WILL HAPPEN

After agreeing to participate in this study, you will be asked to complete an online survey taking approximately 10-15 minutes.  At the end of the survey  participants will be asked to leave their email if they will be happy to take part in the qualitative component of the study. 

TIME COMMITMENT

The study approximately takes 10-15 minutes to complete. However, there are no time restrictions, so you may take as long as you wish.

PARTICIPANTS’ RIGHTS

Participation in this research study is completely voluntary. Even after you agree to participate and begin the study, you are still free to withdraw at any time before and during the study without having to give a reason. However, once you have completed the study and pressed the 'Done' button, you can no longer withdraw your data from the study. Moreover, if you wish to withdraw during the study, simply close the window and you data will be removed.

BENEFITS AND RISKS/DISCOMFORT

There are no known benefits or risks for you in this study, however your participation in this study will enhance sciences understanding of love in romantic relationships.

COST, REIMBURSEMENT AND COMPENSATION

Your participation in this study is voluntary.  You will receive no remuneration in return for your participation.

CONFIDENTIALITY/ANONYMITY

Data that is collected will not contain any personal information about you except your general demographic data (e.g. age, gender, ethnicity etc). Information you have provided will be remain anonymous and confidential and will not be linked to your data. The survey is encrypted with SSL/TLS for enhanced security and confidentiality . The IP-number will not be recorded ensuring that your participation remains anonymous.
