Parent Council Meetings

Every school in Scotland has a Parent Forum which consists of all parents/carers who have children at the school.  The Parent Council is the committee appointed by the Parent Forum to run matters on its behalf.

The Parent Council has an important role in improving links between parents and the school.  It ensures that parents get the information they need from the school and the staff get feedback on parents' views, discusses any issues of interest i.e. bullying, homework, school uniform, etc, and is involved in the recruitment of new Headteachers and senior staff.

The Harlaw Academy Parent Council welcomes all parents and carers to attend any of the meetings and encourages questions, feedback and suggestions to put to the staff.

We would like to encourage parents to attend our meetings and want to know what parents think about the format of the meetings.

We would be grateful if you could complete this short survey to let us know what you think.
