What is a Neighbourhood Plan?
A Neighbourhood Plan puts in place planning policy for a neighbourhood area to guide future development. It is subordinate to the local Plan.
When Local communities are empowered to lead and influence decision making, it makes a real difference to their area.
Anybody can be a part of this group and it will be for that group to decide on the scope, content and timeline of the plan. It also involves robust community engagement in order to develop an evidence-based understanding of the aspirations of the community.
Developing a Neighbourhood Plan requires commitment, but also gives you a deep sense of satisfaction in being an intimate part of shaping the future of your community.
