RSCDS consultation of members

The RSCDS is business planning for the next 3 - 5 years and we are consulting Branches and Members to get your ideas and input to the process. Thank you very much for taking the time to respond - we look forward to hear what you say both in terms of what you most want us to continue doing and what you think we need to do more of to build a stronger and growing community of Scottish Country Dancers in Scotland, the UK and globally. 

Please read the proposed Mission, Strategic Aims and main improvements we would like to achieve.

* 3. The RSCDS Management Board and Committees, in consultation with members at the AGM in November 2015, have set 5 Strategic Aims for the next 3 - 5 years.

Since the AGM the Management Board, Committees and staff have outlined a number of proposed improvements or areas to strengthen (we have called these 'Change Statements' and there are 4 or 5 of these change statements for each Strategic Aim) - which they think need to happen to enable us to achieve these Strategic Aims. We would value your feedback and suggestions - these are just proposals.

Aim 1. To promote Scottish Country Dance and related dance forms as inclusive and exciting activities - please refer also to the change statements under this Aim.
Aim 2. To build the number, capacity and networking of branches and other dance groups who share our aims, to help them grow and deliver SCD activity - please refer also to the change statements under this Aim. 
Aim 3. To maintain and develop high standards of teaching of Scottish country dance and music, including the development of dance and music for all ages and abilities - please refer also to the change statements under this Aim. 
Aim 4. To enable enjoyable and high quality Scottish country dance opportunities for all ages and abilities worldwide - please refer also to the change statements under this Aim.
