Submit a session for the ASE Futures Conference 2019

The Association for Science Education Futures Conference
in partnership with Sheffield Institute of Education

4 & 5 July 2019 at the Sheffield Hallam University


The ASE Futures Conference is for everyone leading professional development in science education - across all settings.

We welcome session proposals from members and non-members bringing experience from schools, colleges, universities, MATs, local authorities and consultancy. This dedicated conference offers a supportive environment in which to share your ideas. If you are new to presenting, you can join a shared session made up of poster or short presentations.

We are looking for proposals for

·         keynotes of 1hr duration (45 minutes of presentation plus 15 of discussion and questions)

·         workshops – 1hr 15 minutes to include discussion and activities

·         shorter research presentations (15-20 mins), which could be combined into a longer session

·         research posters

Emerging themes for the conference are:

·         Sustainability in its broadest sense but including teacher retention and work-life balance.

·         Science capital (developing from 2018 strand)

·         Early career CPD

·         Curriculum (developing from 2018 theme)

Proposals are more likely to be accepted if they fit with one of these strands.

All speakers will receive one free day at the ASE Futures Conference.

You will be given the opportunity to update your session details before the conference programme is published but please now include the title, outline and lead speaker/organisation so that your session can be reviewed by the ASE Futures Group.
