Application to take part in a citizens' jury in the Forest of Dean (page 1 of 6)

Would you like to take part in a citizens’ jury to recommend the location of the new community hospital in the Forest of Dean?

Citizens Juries Community Interest Company, a not-for-profit company, is inviting applications from members of the public who would like to take part in an exciting project commissioned by Gloucestershire Care Services NHS Trust and NHS Gloucestershire Clinical Commissioning Group to ask citizens where a new community hospital should be located in the Forest of Dean.

If you apply and are selected, you will be one of 18 local residents in a "citizens' jury"  who will meet together at Forest Hills Golf Club, Coleford .  The jury will be given relevant information, and work together over the four and a half days to reach a conclusion on whether the new community hospital to replace the Dilke Memorial and Lydney Hospitals should be located in the Lydney, Coleford or Cinderford area.  To understand more about citizens’ juries, and how we select participants, go to:

This citizens' jury was originally planned as a three-and-a-half day event starting on 29 May. It was decided that more time was required to prepare additional information for the jury. The citizens' jury will now run for four-and-a-half days from 13.00 on Monday 30 July to 17.00 on Friday 3 August. Selected participants will be paid a total of £470. If you applied for the jury beginning 30 May, and would like for your application to be carried forward to the 30 July jury, you do not need to apply again; just e-mail saying "please carry forward my application".
