Factual Editing

PLUS an evening with employers/industry (Date TBC).

Description
Develop your practice in editing factual content
 
Course Content 
This 5 day course (over 5 weeks) will develop your skills and confidence in editing factual content through practice and feedback in a supported learning environment.

As well as editing practice, you will be introduced to a range of UK television factual, critically review content and apply what they learn to your own practice.

You will examine the culture of the factual cutting room and be introduced to the strategies required to build a sustainable career as an editor within the current TV industry.
 
Tutor
An Avid editor with many years’ staff and freelance experience, Therese Lynch specialises in storytelling and structure across genres including long-form factual, magazine/formatted factual, children's TV (CBBC and Cbeebies), current affairs, entertainment, music, drama and news.

Fees
Freelance rate: £875
Corporate rate: £1550

Once you have been accepted on the course we will invoice you, by email, for the full amount of the fees. We must receive your payment 5 working days before the course at the latest. Your place on the course is not confirmed until we have received full payment from you, or you have received written confirmation that you have been awarded a bursary.
