Have your say on our draft Tenancy Strategy |
Introduction
We are updating our Tenancy Strategy and would welcome your views on our proposals. The Localism Act 2011 requires all local authorities to publish a Tenancy Strategy. A tenancy strategy’s purpose is to provide guidance to all registered social housing providers (typically the council and all housing associations) with housing stock in Ealing setting out the matters to which they should have regard in formulating their tenancy policy. Each social housing landlord should have their own tenancy policy setting out:
- The kinds of tenancies they grant
- The circumstances under which they will grant a tenancy of a particular kind
- Where they grant tenancies for a term certain, the lengths of those terms; and
- The circumstances in which they will grant a further tenancy on the coming to an end of an existing tenancy
All the information collected will be handled in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2018, which incorporates the EU's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
The survey should only take 10-15 minutes to complete. This consultation will be open until 16 May 2021.
