Skills Shortage Inquiry
The All-Party Parliamentary Group on Road Freight and Logistics, chaired by Sir Mike Penning MP has launched a call for written evidence into the skills shortage in the Road Freight and Logistics industry.
The scope of the inquiry will examine the role of Government and Operators in supporting recruitment and encouraging a diverse workforce. It will also seek to understand issues around attractiveness of the industry with focus on quality of employment and facilities for staff.
This call for written evidence comes as part of the All-Party Parliamentary Group's inquiry into the skills shortage and workforce planning.
The deadline for submissions is midnight 30th April 2019.
Anyone with an interest in this industry is invited to provide a response. Respondents to the call for evidence may also be called to give oral evidence at a meeting of the APPG.
