Consultation on Proposed Changes to Heating Policy |

The Heating Policy is due to be updated and the main changes proposed are:
1. The policy has been transferred into the ACHA Model Policy Template - the main additions are a range of standard clauses in the following sections:
Section 1 Context
Section 3 Our Policy Objectives
Section 5 Performance Management
Section 6 Development and Training
Section 8 Dealing with Complaints
Section 9 Consultation and Review procedures
Section 10 Confidentiality
2. We have added a reference to the Energy Efficiency Standard for Social Housing in Section 2.
3. In clause 4.1, we have removed the choice of electrical boiler heating (sometimes referred to as 'wet electric'). It is our experience that the tariffs available from the utility companies are fairly restrictive and this type of heating does not suit most of our tenants.
