Victorian v Modern
Victorian v Modern
Thank you for considering undertaking this questionnaire. The average completion time is just under three minutes. There are 10 quick-fire questions.
Who can participate?
· Any adult over 18 years of age · Any resident in England
Purpose: This questionnaire consists of 10 questions related to Victorian property in comparison to modern (‘post 1964’) property. It aims to uncover popular attitudes with regards to England’s housing stock. It aims to analyse the mooted ‘charm’ of older property held in the popular consciousness, with a view to establishing reasons why people either buy Victorian or modern homes.
The decision to buy ‘old’ or ‘new’ is of ever-increasing significance, given the environmental / sustainability issues inherent to the Built Environment.
Put simply, the overarching question is ‘Is the (mooted) charm of a Victorian home worth the (mooted) increased repair, maintenance and sustainability costs?’
