Welcome

Financial Services Partnership in conjunction with Skills for Justice wishes to seek your views on the revised National Occupation Standards (NOS) for Compliance. The need for this work was identified and sponsored by the International Compliance Association. It is important that National Occupational Standards reflect the current and future functions of the workforce and the revised standards reflect current industry good practice.

Feedback from this review will inform the final NOS that are submitted for approval. The reviewed NOS are expected to be available for use from February 2016.

It should take you no longer than 15 minutes to complete the survey and all responses to the survey will remain confidential.

What are National Occupational Standards?

NOS specify the standard of performance an individual should achieve when carrying out a function in the workplace, together with the knowledge and understanding they need to meet that standard consistently. Essentially NOS are benchmarks of good practice. Each NOS defines one key function in a job role.

Although NOS are often used to build qualifications and training programmes, sectors, organisations or individuals can use NOS as the platform for many other aspects of human resource management and workforce learning and development, for example:

·         workforce planning
·         performance appraisal and development systems
·         job descriptions
·         workplace coaching
·         reflective practice and continuing professional development

There are 17 individual standards that form part of the Compliance suite of NOS and we would anticipate it taking you no longer than 15 minutes to complete this survey.

This consultation will close on 15 January 2016.
