On 5 April 2023, the Government announced that it would be delaying the implementation of the Liberty Protection Safeguards (“LPS”) to replace the Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (“DoLS”) “beyond the life of this Parliament”.

This survey is being conducted in order to obtain the views of local government lawyers on the delay of the LPS, the results of which will be discussed in a free upcoming webinar with Alex Ruck Keene and Graeme Kenna, in association with LexisNexis, and in a subsequent publication on Local Government Lawyer.
