The Scottish Government is carrying out a consultation on proposals to be included in the Education (Scotland) Bill. The proposals include creating a school and teacher-led education system with a Headteacher’s Charter, improving parental and community engagement in school life and learning and strengthening pupil participation. It also looks at introducing Regional Improvement Collaboratives and the registration of other educational professionals with the Education Workforce Council.

We would like to submit a response from Midlothian taking into account the experiences and opinions of pupils, staff, parents/carers and parent councils, and communities. Please help us by completing the survey below.

There is more information on the consultation on the Scottish Government's website - you might want to view or download the questions and think about your responses before coming back to this survey and filling it in.
