Hertford Arts Hub
Hertford Arts Hub Survey
Hertford Arts Hub (HAH) is a not-for-profit arts organisation, set up in 2016, with support from Hertford Town Council, East Herts District Council, Hertfordshire County Council and the University of Hertfordshire. The main objective of the HAH is to develop a new, National standard public arts gallery as a hub for visual art in Hertford.
The proposed public arts gallery, at the Old Hertford Brewery on Hartham Lane, will be at the heart of Hertford’s Culture Quarter. The Culture Quarter currently includes Hertford Theatre, Courtyard Arts, Hertford Museum, Hertford Library and the Company of Players as well as Hertford Arts Hub
Hertford Arts Hub aims to unite the organisations of Hertford's Culture Quarter. By working in collaboration, organisations in the Culture Quarter will be represented more widely across the community.
Development of a publicly funded arts gallery will assist regeneration of Hertford Town Centre. The gallery will enhance facilities for artists and other creative practitioners and boost Hertford’s reputation as a regional cultural centre. It will include a permanent collection of work by international artist Alan Davie, who lived and worked in Hertford for 60 years. A program of events and exhibitions will be developed.
We would like to hear your thoughts on this development. Your opinion is of great value to us. By completing this survey, you contribute to the evidence base needed to justify capital funding for a high quality public arts gallery in Hertford.
