General Information

The ITI Conference is the biggest event in the UK translation and interpreting calendar and our online conference this year attracted over 400 delegates. In 2022 the conference will take place in Brighton, with content also being made available online for those unable to attend in person.

The theme for the conference is 'Embracing change, emerging stronger'  and we will be focussing on the way in which the translation and interpreting profession has changed in an unprecedented way over the past two years. We will be exploring how we can rise to these challenges and embrace the changes they bring with them, enabling us all to emerge stronger into the future.

We are inviting submissions for talks based around our theme. Topics of interest for presentations include, but are not limited to:
  • The new normal and changing roles
  • The impact of technology on linguistic roles
  • Approaching new specialisations
  • Career progression and professionalism
  • Diversifying
  • Tackling daily challenges

We would be particularly interested to hear from those working as public service or community interpreters.

Please complete this form so that we have all the details of your proposed 50 minute presentation (to include time for questions). Deadline: 30 September 2021.

In addition to this form, you are very welcome to send a link to a short video presentation that describes your talk and what attendees will learn, to events@iti.org.uk.

PLEASE NOTE: Each full 50-minute session will be awarded one free place to the 2022 conference. No travel costs, accommodation or other conference-related expenses will be reimbursed by ITI.
