Most Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) are no longer fit for purpose. While the software industry has undergone rapid innovation many of its benefits have not made their way into LIS. The demand on LIS by clinical laboratories is rapidly growing and this is leaving a major gap from what is needed by LIS and what they can deliver. This gap now needs to be urgently filled.

Based on our dialogue with the industry to date and by looking at the key internal and external pressures on LIS systems we have put together a list of example LIS factors for laboratory professionals to consider. Through this survey, we would now like to put these forward to the wider market to assess where they would place these factors in terms of importance to their own laboratory.

The data collected will be used by Cirdan to generate a white paper on the Future of LIS, which will be shared with all participants. The short survey will take no longer than 3 minutes to complete.

We appreciate your input and thank you in advance for your participation. We look forward to sharing the white paper with you in due course.
