Delivering Net Zero: The Role of FDF (Company Survey)
Introduction
Over the last 18 months, FDF published its heat decarbonisation roadmap to 2050, set a baseline for its 2021 Net Zero programme through the Net Zero Narrative project, and following FDF’s public announcement in April 2021 for a Net Zero by 2040 Ambition, we are now developing our associated Roadmap and handbook for businesses to be published at COP26.
In light of this work, and as part of a PG Dip in Sustainable Business that I’m undertaking at the University of Cambridge, I am working on an ‘Analysis Paper’ looking at a sustainability challenge in the food and drink sector.
This survey forms part of the research I am undertaking to help establish / lead to a set of recommendations, on what FDF can do to accelerate changes in the UK’s farm-to-fork supply chain to deliver Net Zero by 2040 – it is open to both members and non-members of FDF.
All information gathered will be confidential and non-attributable unless explicit permission is otherwise given. The final paper will be viewed only by Cambridge University and key FDF staff.
This questionnaire will be open until Friday 20th August – but sooner by Friday 13th is much appreciated (first draft of paper is to be submitted on 23rd August)!
If you would like a 1:1 conversation instead of or in addition to the survey, please contact me at emma.piercy@fdf.org.uk to arrange a convenient time.
