1. Thank you for agreeing to fill in our survey

This survey is for visitors to the River Aire in West Yorkshire and members of communities along the river.

The Aire Rivers Trust and the Environment Agency are developing a partnership project called ‘DNAire—Developing the Natural Aire,” funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund. We want to gather feedback from you so that the project can be tailored to the local community and provide the sort of activities and opportunities you want. The project area covers the River Aire and communities along the river between Gargrave, Bradford and Leeds.

We are hoping to develop a programme of volunteer days, activities and events, connected to improving the rivers and celebrating our shared natural and built heritage.  This programme will be a celebration of the return salmon to the River Aire.  This will made possible by the building of four fish passes at Armley Mills, Kirkstall, Newlay and Salts Mill to allow fish to swim over these tall weirs. To find out more why removing barriers to fish creates healthier rivers watch this video.

Your views are very important to us and by filling in this questionnaire you are helping make our project a success. As a thank you, if you enter our prize draw, you could win one of three meals for two at The Boathouse, Victoria Road, Saltaire, Shipley BD18 3LA.  To be entered into the draw you need to make sure you enter your email address on the final page.

The information we gather is just for this project and we will not pass on any details to other people. If you would like to comment further you can contact us at contact@aireriverstrust.org.uk.
