This year’s Conference takes place on Saturday 3rd September in the Stirling Court Hotel.
 
There will be a variety of speakers delivering throughout the day, including workshops and activities to create an interactive forum for Sports Councils, ClubSport networks and other national and local sport providers to engage, listen, learn and share best practice.

For Young People (under 25) and Scottish ClubSport Life Members, a 50% discount will be applied when you are invoiced for payment.

This year, we are offering an Early Bird 10% discount on all tickets purchased before the 1st July, 2022. Promotion does not apply to already discounted tickets (i.e. Young People or Life Member).

Seamless Fundraising for Sports Clubs

Brief outline of workshop 1:
Fantastic Fanatics is a sports-based shopping and rewards platform designed to generate a new revenue stream for sports clubs at all levels, with no cost. Through our card linked technology, it’s a completely seamless experience for everyone involved and has plenty of member rewards and incentives along the way. Sports clubs simply get paid when their own members buy the things they’re already buying.

Workshop 2 - delivered by Actify CiC
Actify: Integrating Digital Technology Into Community and Club Sport

Brief outline of workshop 2: An introduction to the Actify platform and how it can help you host and share your support and activity materials. Outlining the platform's monthly theme work with Active Scotland and Actify’s digital training opportunities for upskilling both the voluntary and paid workforce. Opportunity for follow up support and Q&A.

Workshop 3 - delivered by Scottish Hockey
Leading the Way – How Scottish Hockey are engaging and upskilling a new generation of volunteers to create a stronger club and district network

Brief outline of workshop 3: Over the last 3 years Scottish Hockey have delivered the Lead the Way programme –designed to invest in educating and empowering some of our most promising and engaged leaders. This workshop will detail how the programme evolved, the challenges faced and lessons learned for developing a new generation of volunteers across the sport.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Payment

When we receive and confirm your registration, we will send an invoice to you for the amount due. Invoices should be paid within 14 days of receiving. We can accept payments via BACS or alternatively, if you can only pay by cheque, we will arrange payment with you.

Cancellation Policy
Please note that any *non-covid related cancellations made within 4 weeks of the Conference (6th August to 2nd September) are liable for 100% of the Package Fee. Cancellations made before the 4 week deadline (6th August) will be liable for 50% of the Package Fee.

*non-covid related cancellations refer to any reason for cancellation outside of Testing Positive for Covid-19 and being required to Self-Isolate.

If you are required to self-isolate due to testing positive for Covid-19 or have been in close contact to someone who has, or has been suspected of, testing positive for Covid-19, then you will be liable for 20% of the Package Fee to cover Admin Costs.

Should the Conference be cancelled, by us or the venue due to Covid-19 or any other reason, all bookings will receive a 100% refund. 
 
Safeguarding
If a Sports Council brings a young person (under 25) along with another committee member, then the young person will receive 50% discount on above costs. If young person is Under 18 (15-17 years) then 2 members of the Sports Council must attend and ensure they have a PVG/Disclosure and agree to be responsible for the young person for the duration of the event. Scottish ClubSport will have a Safeguarding Lead present on the day (Jacqui Dunlop).

Accessibility and Facilities
Should you have any venue specific questions regarding facilities, accessibility, parking etc. please forward them to info@scottishclubsport.co.uk. There is ample free parking, all rooms are en-suite with tvs and hairdryers. There are a limited number of accessible rooms available and the venue is accessible throughout.

Photography
Individuals participating in Scottish ClubSport events consent to their photograph being taken or being video recorded, by a representative of Scottish ClubSport. These photographic images/videos may be used in promotional materials for Scottish ClubSport, both in print and digital media - including social media. Images/videos may be shared within the sport sector, including partner organisations of Scottish ClubSport, for promotional materials both in print and digital media - including social media. Consent will remain valid until an individual advises us otherwise. Our National Development Manager should be contacted on ndm@scottishclubsport.co.uk should participants wish for their photograph not to be taken during our events. For delegates under the age of 18, you will be required to complete a permission form before the event which will be sent to you once we receive your registration form.

Covid-19
We are continuing to monitor the Governments Covid-19 guidelines and we will be making the necessary arrangements in order for the conference to be a safe environment. We will continue to share guidelines with delegates and will share a more in-depth update closer to the conference.

Additional Information:
There will be a raffle drawn at dinner on the Saturday night and all funds raised will be donated to Scottish ClubSport's new youth working group. All funds raised will go towards the delivery of youth leadership training for young people within our network.

* 17. As part of the Conference and AGM, Scottish ClubSport will be delivering its Annual Awards. These awards are to recognise the significant impact that local people have had on their local sports communities.

The space below will allow you to nominate in three categories:

- Service to Sport
This award is to recognise the significant contribution made by volunteers to grassroots sports. This award recognises someone who has made significant contribution over many years within a Sports Council, ClubSport Network, or club setting. 

- Sports Council/ClubSport network of the Year
This award is to recognise the ongoing support that the Sports Council/ClubSport network has provided to its members. This award is open to nominations that recognise the adaptations, new approaches and additional support that Sports Councils/ClubSport networks have delivered over the last 12 months. You may nominate your own or another sports council.

- Young Person of the Year
This award is to recognise the significant contribution made by a  young person (under 25) or a group of young people (under 25 years old) to grassroot, school, community or club sport.
