Gloucestershire County Council has opened an application process for a proposed new primary school to serve the new housing development at Chesterton Farm from 2021.

The Corinium Education Trust, a multi-academy trust of four state schools all in close proximity to Chesterton Farm (Chesterton, Kemble and Siddington CofE primary schools and Cirencester Deer Park School), intends to submit an application to open the proposed new primary school.

The opportunity to open this school aligns with the vision for the Trust, which is committed to improving the learning and life chances of children and young people in Cirencester and the South Cotswolds.

If our application is successful, we plan to work with Gloucestershire County Council and the developers to accommodate and grow the new school initially on one of our existing school sites from 2021 before moving into the new purpose-built school on the Chesterton Farm Development in 2023. The school will open over a phased time frame, allowing it to grow gradually to accommodate new pupils as the housing comes on line.

Our aim is to establish a primary school that will become the beating heart of the new community. Please complete this short survey to help shape our vision for the new primary school for Cirencester to the needs and ambitions of the community it will serve.

(Please note that this consultation is not related to any building or planning applications surrounding the new school).
