CAVS Survey
INTRODUCTION
Carmarthenshire County Council (CCC) and Carmarthenshire Association of Voluntary Services (CAVS) share the desire to develop and grow the third sector in the County by working in partnership to deliver practical services for the communities of Carmarthenshire who need them.
The voluntary and community sector has been vital in mobilising volunteers and meeting local needs during the pandemic. However, like many other parts of society, third sector organisations are facing unprecedented uncertainty due to the immediate and longer-term impact of COVID 19.
The pandemic has presented a wide range of challenges but also opportunities to do things differently. With this in mind, Carmarthenshire County Council and Carmarthenshire Association of Voluntary Services have invited an independent consultant to review arrangements for local service delivery. This is an opportunity to take stock of activity during the pandemic and inform the development of CAVS in supporting the sector in post COVID 19 recovery. There is an opportunity to learn from this unprecedented experience as we reopen services and re-set our strategic and operational priorities.
