AccessHE Academy Application Form
Background
In July 2020, AccessHE will launch its inaugural AccessHE Academy programme: a blended-learning course designed for Teachers and Career Advisers to support them in working with their students on progression to higher education. The Access Academy Programme is a 3-day course that will:
Introduce participants to key areas of HE progression theory and practice
Examine the range of resources/materials including those online that can be used with learners
Support the development of a school-based project for academic year 2020-21.
The 3 days will include 1 day of online group learning, 1 day of personal preparation/learning, and a one-on-one project development session on the third day of the programme.
AccessHE will provide participating schools with £900 per teacher to cover staff time commitment. Schools may forward more than one teacher/adviser to participate in the programme. It is the expectation that the projects developed by participants are implemented over the academic year 2020-21. A brief outline of this proposed project will be required as part of the application process for the programme.
Graduates of the AccessHE Academy will also be eligible to apply for additional funds in the academic year 2020/21 to support the delivery of projects.
