Introduction to the survey

(Please note: this is a survey for young people aged 12-26)

Why do we need your views?

Children in Scotland (CiS) is a charity working with the Crown Estate Scotland to help them include the voices of children and young people as they decide their new three-year plan. Their plan covers how seabed, coastline and land across Scotland may be used. You can help us by taking 10 minutes to complete this survey to tell us what you think.

What is the Crown Estate?

Crown Estate Scotland is the organisation that manages land and property in Scotland (buildings and farms for example) on behalf of everybody. This includes land in the countryside, some of the coast of Scotland and most of the seabed around Scotland. Crown Estate Scotland wants to make sure that all of this is managed in an environmentally friendly way and helps people living in Scotland have a good life.

Why is it important for me to share my views?

We think it’s important that children have a chance to share their views because where you live, your local community, future job opportunities and the wider environment will all be impacted. We want to know what is important and what you think Crown Estate Scotland should do to help support you and your community to feel happy and healthy.

Everyone who takes part has the option of entering a prize draw to win vouchers. If you wish to enter please submit your name and a contact email address. Don't worry your answers will be anonymous, this means no one will know what you have said. Children in Scotland will only keep this information until the end of the project.

If you have any questions or need further information you can contact Jane Miller at jmiller@childreninscotland.org.uk
