“Creative Words for Wellbeing” can be any creative literary activity, such as writing, reading or storytelling, that helps people to feel in more control of their health and wellbeing.

The Scottish Poetry Library, in partnership with LAPIDUS Scotland, has been awarded a grant from the Scottish Library and Information Council’s Innovation and Development Fund to undertake a mapping study of the words for wellbeing landscape in Scotland, and to work with key stakeholders including libraries, health and social care, the creative arts sector and voluntary organisations to develop a national cross-sectoral network with a shared vision and a plan of action for realising this vision.  A Steering Group with multi-sectoral representation is overseeing delivery of this project.

1. Map current Words for Wellbeing projects and initiatives across Scotland

2. Facilitate the co-creation of a jointly owned vision and action plan across stakeholders

3. Lay the foundations for a collaborative, multi-sectoral network of bibliotherapy services across Scotland

As part of this process we would like to connect with you as a provider of Creative Words for Wellbeing services, and invite you to complete this survey.  To help the user navigate through the survey and feel clear about where they are in the process:

In Part 1 of this questionnaire we ask about your experience in providing Creative Words for Wellbeing services to date along with your views on what we could do in the future, to help us to work towards a jointly owned vision and action plan.

In Part 2, we would like you to tell us a bit about your Creative Words for Wellbeing service so that we can map current Words for Wellbeing projects and initiatives across Scotland.

Please note that questions marked with a red * are mandatory – they must be completed before you can continue to the next question.

Your input will make a huge difference to our ability to lay the foundations for a collaborative, multi-sectoral network.

The survey should take around 15 minutes to complete and to thank you for your time we will invite you to enter a prize draw to win a £50 Hive voucher.  The survey will be open until 28th October 2019. Please forward the link on to anyone else that this might be relevant to.
