Community Car Schemes - Assessing Need in Gloucestershire

Hello.  We are a local charity assessing the need for a Community Car Scheme in your area.  Community Car Schemes provide transport for people who can no longer drive, or for whom public transport is difficult to use or unavailable.  Community cars are driven by volunteer drivers and operate under strict guidelines.  The cost of the service is 50p per mile, plus a small annual membership fee, and you contact a Bookings Desk to arrange your journey.  Volunteer drivers also help wheelchair and walking aid users and support people to access the transport provided.  You may already be using a local Community Car Scheme, or this service could be new to your area.
