Welcome to Groundwork UK's survey on the current landscape for community action

Who is the survey for?

We would like to invite people involved in community groups to take part in our research survey, which is being organised and funded by Groundwork UK. The survey is for anyone who is part of a group taking action in the local community, including constituted groups, community interest companies (CICs) or small local charities.

The survey should take around 10 minutes to complete.

What is the purpose of the survey?

The purpose of this survey is to better understand the current landscape of community-led action and identify what types of social infrastructure are needed to support this. The results will inform a research report which will make recommendations for policymakers in national and local governments. It will also inform Groundwork UK’s work and how we seek to support community groups.

Consent and data protection

If you complete the survey we will assume that you are happy for your answers to be included in the research.

The survey asks some questions about you, such as your age, so that we can find out if different groups have different experiences of community action. There is an option for ‘rather not respond’ for each of these questions. You should not be personally identifiable from any answers in the survey.

All responses will be stored securely and anonymously in line with data protection regulations.

If you have any questions about the survey, please get in touch with:
