Background information

Poverty is not inevitable, it shames us as a society and is unacceptable. The Scottish Government have said tackling child poverty is a key priority and have set out their plans in The Child Poverty (Scotland) Act.

One Parent Families Scotland (OPFS) is dedicated to working with and for single parent families, we are passionate about tackling child poverty. One quarter of Scottish families are single parent households, and around half are in income poverty. If you are a parent living in Scotland we would really appreciate your views on poverty and health inequalities. This will enable us to work together in reducing poverty for all children.
