SDG2 Chefs' Manifesto - Inspiring action to build a better future for food
We believe in a better future for food. A future where ingredients are grown with respect for the environment, where farmers are paid a fair wage and where everyone, everywhere enjoys the nutritious meals they need to grow and thrive.
To achieve this vision, the SDG2 Advocacy Hub invites you to help us create a Chefs’ Manifesto – a simple, statement of intent outlining how actions by professional chefs, home cooks and foodies can contribute towards a more sustainable food system and realization of the UN's Global Goals.
Through this process, we hope to breakdown the key environmental, social and economic issues that underpin our food system into something easy to understand – and, in doing so, create a new movement of chef advocates to inspire people all over the world to change the way they buy, cook, share and think about food.
Above all, the Manifesto should be a document written by chefs, for chefs – whether you are a chef in a high-end restaurant, a community kitchen or a school canteen – we want to hear your voice!
This is your opportunity to tell us what is important to you; what issues you are passionate about tackling and how you want to engage in the movement for a better food future.
Please note that the details you share in the questionnaire will only be used for the purposes of developing the Manifesto. You can revoke your permission at any time by emailing paul.newnham@wfp.org.
Many thanks for contributing to this exciting project. The survey will take about 10 minutes to complete
