Welcome

Building on our recent research on minority ethnic families’ experiences of seeking or receiving support for their family, the Early Intervention Foundation and the Race Equality Foundation are now looking to develop actionable recommendations to support local areas in  improving service accessibility, experience and outcomes for minority ethnic families.

Statistics show persistent ethnic inequalities in families’ and young people’s exposure to certain risk factors as well as disparities in children’s outcomes. Our research highlighted experiences of racism and discrimination, exacerbated access challenges, and inadequate support experiences aren’t untypical. We are now aiming to develop practical recommendations for local areas who seek to improve how services and support offers work for minority ethnic families.
