Bedfordshire Fire and Rescue Service Community Risk Management Plan (CRMP) 2019-23 Survey

Bedfordshire Fire and Rescue Service serves the people of the county by responding to incidents such as fires, road traffic collisions and water rescues, amongst others. We also proactively work to reduce and prevent such incidents and encourage local people to stay safe in their homes, their workplaces, on the roads and out and about.

To plan these activities we produce a Community Risk Management Plan (CRMP) to assess the risks facing our communities and set out our actions and activities over the next four years to meet these challenges. Our CRMP explains how we intend to deliver our vision of providing outstanding fire and rescue services by further improving:

- how we assess and analyse the risks faced by the communities we serve;
- the effectiveness of our prevention, protection and emergency response services;
- how efficiently we deploy our assets and resources to mitigate community risk;
- how we value, support and invest in our best asset: our staff.

Our aim with the CRMP is to promote safety in our communities, working closely with businesses, schools and communities to inform and educate people on how to be safe in their homes, places of work and when travelling within our county. Our CRMP also builds on the Service’s commitment to promote inclusion and diversity in all we do, having due regard for our statutory obligations.

We are now consulting on our next plan covering the years 2019 to 2023 and want your views on our plans. Just complete this survey to help us shape how we manage risks to our communities over the next four years.

Please read our CRMP 2019-23 before taking the survey - you can find it on our website here: https://bit.ly/2X0CS7h .
