West Dunbartonshire Council follows a policy of limiting the number of taxi licenses across the Clydebank zone. This means the Council are required to undertake regular surveys of passenger demand to ensure the limit set is at the correct level. Jacobs has been commissioned by West Dunbartonshire Council to carry out an independent study of taxi and private hire operations across Clydebank.
Consultation with the public is an important element of Jacobs’s independent review of taxi and private hire car services. In addition to understanding the demand for services Jacobs need to understand the public perception of taxi services across Clydebank. We want to hear from both users and non-users of taxi and private hire car services to understand how opinions of services differ, if services are meeting your needs and if not what could be done to improve services for those living in and visiting the area.
