Ready to explore and see how many different bees and butterflies you can find? Head to one of your local parks and use this quiz to go on a Pollinator Hunt!

POLLINATORS:
Birds, bats, butterflies, beetles, and especially BEES are critical to our world. They help pollinate plants that are responsible for bringing us ONE out of every THREE bites of food! They also sustain our ecosystems and produce our natural resources by helping plants reproduce.

Pollinators visit flowers to drink nectar or feed off of pollen and as they move from one plant to the next, they help transport pollen grains which are needed for plants to produce seeds, fruits, and more plants. Between 75% and 95% of all flowering plants need help with pollination so animals such as bees and butterflies are vital to keeping the natural world, including humans, in balance.
Unfortunately, climate change, pollution, the misuse of chemicals, and disease are all contributing to shrinking pollinator populations. We need to look after the pollinators, because they look after us!

You can do your bit by keeping an eye out for them, trying not to disturb their habitats and planting wildflowers wherever you can!
