Memorial Field Survey

WELCOME TO SAXMUNDHAM

In 1921 The people of Saxmundham raised the money to buy the Memorial Field as a permanent tribute to the fallen of the First World War. The Field was opened to the public in 1922.

For the 100th anniversary the Town Council would like to do something special to commemorate the opening. The Council would welcome your views on what we should do to mark this event and improve the Memorial Field for future generations.

Suffolk Wildlife Trust are advising the Council on improving the area for wildlife so we want to make sure we get the balance right between public use of the space and improving biodiversity.
