PinkNews Futures Virtual Business Mentoring Application

PinkNews Futures are running our pilot LGBT+ virtual business mentoring programme in collaboration with education nonprofit Career Accelerator from May-July 2021!

We are connecting 16-25 year old LGBT+ young people interested in careers in the digital sector (both tech and non tech) with LGBT+ business mentors who work at top digital firms like GoCardless and Vodafone to prepare for successful, inclusive careers in the modern job market.

By being a mentee on the programme you can benefit from:
1) Navigating being a young LGBT+ person in the job market
2) Building your LGBT+ professional network
3) Learning about careers in the digital sector (both tech and non-tech)
4) Developing ambitious and realistic career goals
5) Making informed post school/uni/apprenticeship/job choices

From May-July, we ask mentees to commit to 5 hours minimum over the 3 months. This comprises a 1 hour mentee training session, 3x1 hour mentoring sessions and 20 minutes preparation time per session.

Deadline: 16th April

Applicants who are successful in the application form stage, will then be invited to a final round interview to finalise their place on the programme if successful.
