Conversion factors User Questionnaire: Methodology paper and supporting guidance

The Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy (BEIS) and Ricardo Energy & Environment are carrying out an exercise amongst users of the Government emission conversion factors for greenhouse gas company reporting to understand how the accompanying methodology paper is used, and whether we could make any improvements to it. We are consulting a range of users of the conversion factors, such as companies using them to report their emissions, consultancies and universities or research centres which might use the conversion factors for modelling and analysis purposes.

The aim is to get feedback on the methodology paper to understand which parts of the report are mostly used and what could be simplified to improve it for users in future, such as information you feel is missing, or improvements to the structure. It will also help to identify what additional requirements users have and whether there might be a need for additional user guidance.

The success of this task will depend greatly on the data and insights provided by users. Thus, we highly appreciate your valuable contribution to this exercise, and we would be grateful if you would kindly reply to this questionnaire.

All responses will be treated as confidential and will only be shared between BEIS and Ricardo Energy & Environment for the purpose of understanding how the conversion factors and accompanying methodology report are used and can be improved.
