Survey to gather views of local people about our services

About us

The Citizens Advice service has been supporting local communities in County Durham for almost eighty years now and our service has always changed to meet the changing needs of the people it serves.

We have ten offices across the county, providing support through drop-in sessions, face-to-face consultations, telephone, web-based, and outreach services delivered in communities.

Each year we help around one in twenty of the adult population in the county, delivering free, impartial advice to all across all topics.

Why we are asking for your views

In today’s world, we are aware that people’s lives are changing at a fast pace. This consultation will help us to understand the things that are important to local people – enabling us to continue to deliver the services that they want, and ensuring that the funding that we receive as a local charity is focused on meeting their priorities.

We want to gain a range of views, and are seeking feedback from people who have already accessed our services together with people who have not. To help you to complete the form you may like to find out more about the services that we deliver by visiting our website at

Thank you for reading and replying to this consultation. We will read every response and your views and feedback will be very important in helping us to shape the services that we deliver for you in the future.
