Community Survey

Urras Oighreachd Chàrlabhaigh are seeking funding from the Scottish Land Fund (SLF) to purchase the Doune Broch Visitor Centre and Car Park from Urras nan Tursachan.

A feasibility study was carried out in 2019; this considered the site as a whole and included wide community engagement.  The study concluded that the site could be better managed if owned by one organisation and recorded the community desire for Urras Oighreachd Chàrlabhaigh to own and manage the site as a whole.

SLF Stage 1 funding supported a building condition surveys, valuation, options appraisal and business plan. Due to Covid-19 we have been unable to hold any physical community consultation events as part of the options appraisal. Thanks to everyone who attended our online community event held in February 2021. To help ensure we gather as many community views as possible on the proposals we have put together this short community survey.

The survey will close at midnight on Monday 9 August 2021.
