Introduction

The Brent Cross Cricklewood development is Barnet Council’s most significant growth and regeneration programme. The vision of the council and its partners is to create a thriving town centre with attractive and high quality houses, green spaces and employment opportunities. Alongside a modernised shopping centre, the development will be served by an additional train station, and a new high street providing local shops, restaurants and offices. We want the area to be a place people want to live, work and socialise.

Planning permission for the Brent Cross Cricklewood project was first granted in 2010 and subsequently amended in 2014 (known as Section 73 permission).

This regeneration will be underpinned by a number of major transport infrastructure improvements. This includes an additional Thameslink railway station, delivered by Barnet Council with Network Rail, which will link the Brent Cross Cricklewood development to King’s Cross St Pancras in less than 15 minutes.

We are currently consulting on the design and appearance of the new station as well as practical considerations like ease of access and use. We are also providing updated proposals for two other parts of the Brent Cross Thameslink project (the Waste Transfer Station and Rail Freight Facility), following earlier consultation in April 2017.

To find out more about our proposals, please take the time to read the consultation materials we have prepared.

It should only take about ten minutes of your time.
