Introduction

The last few months have been an incredibly difficult time for our community. COVID-19 is the biggest challenge our country has faced for a generation, and it has turned our way of life upside down. Far too many have sadly lost their lives here in Barnsley and around the world, and our thoughts are with their families at this devastating time.

While the priority must be to limit the spread of the virus in order to protect our community and save lives, I believe it is also important that we consider how we can rebuild our country and our way of life after this crisis. It is so important for us to build a better society after the pandemic, and local voices must be able to shape that recovery here in Barnsley.

I want to give you the opportunity to let me know your priorities for our recovery after the pandemic. Please do let me know your thoughts by filling in my survey – I will take your responses and write to the Government to outline your priorities for our recovery.
