West of England Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise Sector Survey

INTRODUCTION
Welcome to the 2017/18 survey of the Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise Sector (VCSE) in Bath and North East Somerset (B&NES). This should be completed by senior member of your organisation such as the chair, chief officer or manager.
B&NES Volunteer Bureau, Third Sector Group (3SG) and their partners work together to support voluntary, community and social enterprise organisations in Bath and North East Somerset and to help build a strong sector in the area.
The results of the survey will:
• Highlight the value and significance of the VCSE sector through the publication of robust, evidence based information
• Help in funding negotiations
• Inform policy
• Identify gaps on provision
• Influence national policy
We will share a summary of the results with our partners but will not pass on detailed information about individual organisations. We will also use statistical information in reports to B&NES Council and other strategic organisations.
The local partners involved in this project are 3SG, DHI Bath and the Volunteer Bureau. We are also working in partnership with members of the West of England Civil Society Partnership. Please note that this survey is being conducted across the West of England and you may receive a request to complete it from more than one organisation. Please complete it only once and accept our apologies for any inconvenience.
