Romanian Street Dog International Adoption (adopter survey)
Background to the survey
Have you fostered or adopted a former Romanian street dog? If so, we would be extremely grateful if you could spend a few minutes completing our online questionnaire. We are a research group from the University of Exeter, UK, and we have been conducting research on the management of street dogs in Romania. As international adoption is a common outcome for former street dogs, we are interested in finding out more about this process. We would like to know about your experiences (good and bad, happy and sad) of sharing your life and home with a former Romanian street dog. We are hoping to collect as many stories and diverse experiences as possible. We would like to hear about successes as well as cases which have not gone so well. The questions are open-ended to enable you to share your stories in as much detail as possible. The information you provide will be treated in confidence and at no point will you be identified or your data shared with other parties. We will use the information you share with us to improve knowledge and understanding of any specific issues which might arise in relation to the international adoption of former street dogs, to improve the welfare of the dogs and to assist those involved in caring for former street dogs from initial rescue and then throughout their lives. Please feel free to share the link for this questionnaire to others you know who have also fostered, adopted or cared for former Romanian Street Dogs.
